New satellite images taken Monday are said to show a Russian military convoy north of the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv. The convoy stretched over about 64 kilometers and is therefore significantly longer than the 27 kilometers initially reported, said the US-based company Maxar Technologies about the recordings. Additional ground forces and attack helicopter units have also been sighted in southern Belarus, less than 32 kilometers north of the Ukrainian border. Meanwhile, Russian attacks on cities in Ukraine continued on Tuesday night. According to the United Nations, more than 100 civilians have been killed and more than 300 injured in the war so far. According to Ukrainian sources, more than 350 civilians have been killed as a result of the fighting. Russia rejects the accusation that civilian facilities would also be attacked.
