In many Ukrainian hospitals, because of the war, the medication scarce will. “As the hospitals in the east are overwhelmed with the increasing number of injured, they are running out of medical supplies,” said Anja Wolz, MSF’s emergency coordinator in Ukraine. “And we don’t know how long it will be before Kyiv is cut off from supplies.”
Doctors Without Borders sent a first delivery of three trucks with 120 cubic meters of medical supplies to Ukraine last week, the organization said. In the past few days, further aid supplies have arrived in Ukraine and new deliveries will follow in the coming days and weeks. But it is to be feared that “it will become increasingly difficult to get medical supplies and medical staff to where they are needed,” explained Wolz.
