A large shopping center in the center of Kyiv was destroyed in an airstrike. Surrounding buildings are partially massively damaged. At least four people were killed, according to the fire department.
Outside and inside footage shows the extent of the nighttime bombing.
Eyewitness Vadym experienced the devastating air strike in his nearby apartment. He explains to the star how he experienced the bombing.
Original soundtracks from eyewitness Vadym:
There was an attack yesterday around 11:30 p.m. A missile hit a mall next to a large apartment block where I live. There was a loud bang, the windows burst. I could feel the blast. The house shook like an earthquake. I could feel the cold air filled with smoke in my room.
I am here in my bedroom now. This is the frame the window fell out of. It fell right here on my bed. That’s the only reason it didn’t break. It just went boom…
Here’s the view from my window so you can see – over there is the building where the missile destroyed the mall.
The windows of three buildings near the shopping center were badly damaged. My neighbors and I are now looking for something to close the windows. It’s cold outside and we need somewhere to sleep. Last night we slept in the hallways. Everything was very scary. It’s frightening how much damage this explosion has caused – and so close to large apartment blocks where families with children live.
I don’t know what else to say.
