Greenpeace protests against gas from Russia in front of Nord Stream 1 pipeline (video)

Watch the video: Greenpeace activists protest against Russian gas imports in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.

STORY: Greenpeace supporters placed a large red X at the landfall of the two Nord Stream 1 pipelines on Thursday. They are protesting against gas imports from Russia. Above the large X, the two pipelines emerge from the ground on the Nord Stream 1 premises in Lubmin in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. On another banner, Greenpeace demands “Stop Gas! End War!” Greenpeace is demanding an “as soon as possible” ban on imports of Russian gas from the summit meeting of the G7 countries, the EU and NATO taking place in Brussels on Thursday. According to the Greenpeace website, it is a challenge to end the dependence on Russian gas that has grown for far too long in the short term. But given the suffering in Ukraine, every effort must be made to get rid of Putin’s gas as quickly as possible.
