Sweden: More riots – three injured by gunfire

Vehicles and garbage cans are on fire, stones and Molotov cocktails are flying: riots are breaking out again in Malmö, Sweden. On Easter Sunday, the police fired warning shots.

There were also riots in Sweden on Easter Sunday in connection with the approval of right-wing rallies. In the city of Norrköpping in the south of the country, the police said they fired warning shots.

Three people were injured, the broadcaster SVT reported in the evening. There were also riots in Linköping, with more than 25 arrests in total. The police said they were attacked themselves.

In Malmö, a bus caught fire on Easter Sunday night after strangers threw a burning object at the vehicle. The passengers were able to exit the bus in time. Several police cars were set on fire in the city of Örebro on Good Friday. About a dozen police officers were injured there.
