Great Britain has because of the Ukraine war new sanctions imposed on senior officials of the Russian army. The punitive measures were directed againstGenerals committing atrocities at the frontas well as against individuals and company“, who supported the Russian army, said the Foreign Ministry in London.
It would punish those “who have Ukrainian blood on their hands”, British Foreign Secretary Liz Truss wrote on Twitter. On the sanctions list stands among other things Chief of a Russian military unitwho is said to have committed atrocities in the Kiev suburb of Bucha.
Also three generals and the Spokesman for the Russian Defense Ministry, Igor Konashenkov, were subject to British sanctions.
