Watch the video: depressing drone video from Mariupol shows mass grave.

A drone video from Mariupol shows the extent of the war in the devastated city. A mass grave is laid out in a cemetery. The star verification team confirms the location as the site of the Starokrymske Cemetery in the north-west of the city. According to the city council, 25 new areas were created here in May – corpses were placed in several layers, the graves were closed with a plate. By mid-March alone, 5,000 people had been buried by the public utilities in Mariupol. In the surrounding, destroyed villages – which are largely Greek – the Ukrainian city administration suspects mass graves of up to 16,000 people. “We estimated the death toll in Mariupol at 22,000. But more and more facts show that the consequences (…) are much worse. This requires special attention from the world community, as well as the terrible situation of the local population during the occupation,” said Mariupol Mayor Vadym Boychenko. Thousands of dead are also suspected in the destroyed city center. 90 percent of the buildings here have been damaged by the war.
