“We’re not excluding anyone or anything at this point,” Adam Schiff, a committee member, told CNN on Sunday when asked if Pence could be summoned. “We are not taking anything off the table as far as the witnesses who have not yet testified are concerned,” said the Democrat. There are several “high-ranking personalities” that the committee of inquiry would like to question. Schiff did not name names.
The investigative committee had interviewed hundreds of witnesses behind closed doors for months and examined large amounts of documents and evidence. He should clarify the background of the Capitol attack on January 6, 2021. Most recently, the panel presented initial results at several public hearings. New details about the chaotic hours that day were revealed on Thursday – also with a view to Pence. Further public hearings are planned for next Tuesday and Thursday.
