The international pressure on unvaccinated people is growing. More and more countries are now getting serious and suspending or terminating unvaccinated employees:
“No vaccination, no work. It is now the law,” said Fiji President Frank Bainimarama, for example. From now on: Anyone who works in the public service and does not get vaccinated against the coronavirus will initially be sent on unpaid leave. Those who still haven’t had their vaccinations in November will be kicked out.
In Greece, vaccination has been mandatory in the health sector since yesterday. A retirement home in the Greek port city of Volos has already suspended ten employees from work and no longer pays them any wages. Six employees of an old people’s home are also affected on the island of Rhodes.
Russia is also taking a hard hit: in Moscow and in 40 regions, most companies have to prove that at least 60 percent of the workforce has been vaccinated. Otherwise there is a risk of severe penalties and a ban on work.
