Answering a question about Portugal’s budget for culture, the head of state noted that Minister Pedro Adão e Silva, who took office three months ago, “started where he should have started: rethinking the structure of the ministry and the state’s approach to culture, New Perspectives” .

“He is a young man who sees from the outside, a good analyst of Portuguese society and therefore he sees how culture should be viewed. I saw that he gets along well with the main characters of culture, in particular with writers, ”he added, referring to their visit to the Sao Paulo Book Biennale on Sunday.

But, unfortunately, after the pandemic, the airport authorities did not manage to recover, even in terms of operational personnel. , for the climbing rhythm that exists and was not expected, a little bit all over Europe and all over the world,” he continued.

Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa noted that this situation is also “definitely happening in Portugal” and affecting connections to Brazil and other destinations, but reiterated that “this is happening all over the world.”
