Mario Ferreira made public a letter sent to the Ministry of Public Administration and substantiated the request by stating that over the past eight years “he has never been given an opportunity to be heard in this process.”
The owner of the Douro Azul reiterates his “full and immediate readiness to cooperate with justice in order to fully clarify all the facts that they deem relevant.”

Searches this Wednesday were carried out by the Tax Inspectorate and DKIAP. We are talking about evidence of qualified tax fraud in the purchase and sale of the ship “Atlantis”. The sale of the vessel was made in September 2014 by the shipyards of Viana do Castelo for more than eight million and in 2015. The same vessel was later sold by Mario Ferreira’s company based in Malta. (tax haven) for 17 million to a Norwegian company. In 2012, Viana do Castelo shipyards initially valued Atlantis at €29 million.
