Recycling life in Portugal

The chimpanzee Gervasio, who taught the Portuguese to separate paper, plastic and glass, returns more than twenty years later to show the best practices of local communities from the north to the south of the country with Manhã CM on CMTV. The program visited live the municipalities of Caldas da Rainha, Portimão, Ourén and Seixal to inspire more and more people to join the mission of innovation, development and recycling. Hosts Duarte Siopa and Ágata Rodrigues got to know Portuguese companies with sustainable values and the different practices of sharing and forwarding packaging from these different cities.

The Manhã CM program took place in Portimão.

From coastal clean-up actions in Portimão to the selective collection of biowaste in Ourem, not to mention the trash cans made from 100% recycled plastic from Seixal and plastic reduction projects in Caldas da Rainha, there are many role models to follow in the context of packaging recycling that you can bring to your communities. Heading north, Manhã CM’s next special will be live from Maya on July 7th and 8th and live from Vila Real on July 21st and 22nd. Join Gervásio and inspire Portugal!
