Manchester United, without Portuguese international Cristiano Ronaldo, beat Liverpool 4-0 on Tuesday in a preparatory match in Thailand that marked the debut of former Benfica international Darwin Nunez for the Reds.
Unlike the Portuguese striker, Diogo Dalot and Bruno Fernandes were part of United’s Eleven who got off to a good start and achieved a three-goal lead before half-time thanks to Jadon Sancho (12 minutes), Fred (30 minutes) and Martial (33).
Between goals from the Brazilian midfielder and the French striker, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp replaced 10 of the 11 players started at the start, including Portuguese Fabio Carvalho, who recently signed from Fulham, for Marca Silva.
Only Brazilian goalkeeper Alisson resisted a complete replacement of the Elevens at Liverpool before half-time, while on the other hand Dutchman Erik ten Hag also took advantage of the remaining time to change 10 players.
In the second half of the match, the melody remained the same, Manchester dominated, with 20-year-old Uruguayan Facundo Pellistri setting the score in the 76th minute, a quarter of an hour after Klopp replaced 10 more players launched on the occasion, striker Darwin Nunez, recently hired from Benfica, for 75 million euros.
