An anesthesiologist arrested for raping a pregnant woman during a caesarean section at a hospital in Rio de Janeiro.

The anesthetist was arrested early Monday morning at a hospital in the Rio de Janeiro, Brazil metropolitan region, on charges of raping a pregnant woman he was delivering by caesarean section. It was his own colleagues from the medical and nursing team who, horrified, reported him to the police after hiding a connected mobile phone on the delivery table to film the crime, and the rapist couldn’t deny it.

Giovani Quintela Bezerra, 32, worked for about three months at the Muller de Vilar de Teles hospital in the city of São João de Meriti, neighboring Rio de Janeiro, and aroused the suspicions of colleagues due to excessive anesthesia. which he gave to the patient. pregnant women he visited and the strange movements he made with women’s bodies while they were under the influence of sedatives. As a rule, a caesarean section is performed only under local anesthesia in the area of ​​​​the incision, and the woman in labor remains conscious, but Giovani insisted on general anesthesia.

Suspecting that during the birth, which was attended by a doctor, there was something wrong and very serious, the nursing team, after two other births carried out during the Sunday, which further increased suspicion, managed to change the room for the third birth, which took place at dawn . , since the usual room did not allow to hide the camera, and they caught the violation with a mobile phone. The pictures handed over to the police, according to those in charge of the investigation, show Giovani taking his penis out of his clothes and placing it in the mouth of the woman in labor, who was unconscious and with her head covered by a sheet.

Also, according to teammates and police, after about 10 minutes, Giovani takes his reproductive organ and discreetly wipes the face of the woman in labor, trying to eliminate traces of the crime. As soon as the birth was over, the colleagues themselves grabbed the anesthesiologist, preventing him from escaping, and called the police.
