The Court of Accounts issued a positive decision on the President of the Republic’s 2021 invoice following an audit, highlighting the reduction in overtime, but reiterating recommendations regarding the accounting system, inventory of assets and public procurement.

In this report on the 2021 report, the Accounts Chamber accepts some of its previous recommendations: “The significant reduction in the number of overtime hours on working days, mandatory and additional rest days and holidays, as well as its implementation is the result of prior and direct authorization in each specific case of the supreme head of the General Secretariat of the President of the Republic.”
However, the court considers that other recommendations on the accounting system remain partially or completely unfulfilled, including “introduce a management accounting subsystem adapted to the regulatory framework that complies with the VNS-AP” and “combine all assets into a single inventory”. this sovereign body, “starting to renovate it in a timely manner”.
With regard to public procurement, the Accounts Chamber reiterates that the Presidium of the Republic must “publish in a timely manner all public contracts subject to mandatory disclosure on the Public Contracts Portal.”
