A fight that left three injured, two with guns, on Tuesday in Vila Real may have been sparked by “marital obligations” involving a minor and drug dealing issues, according to PSP.
The Vila Real police, in a statement this Wednesday, explained that after a warning of clashes in Alameda de Graça, next to the municipal theater, they immediately moved to the place where the four suspects in the fight were found, from the localities of Lordelo and Laye , both in this municipality. According to CM a pregnant woman was arrested at the hospital for possession of a drug while police reinforcements were at that location.
According to the PSP, as a result of this fight, three people were injured, two women with gunshot wounds and a man with an unknown object.
The dispute involved several people, as well as throwing stones, sticks and the use of white and firearms and, according to the source, will arise due to “marital obligations involving a minor and other issues related to the business of selling drugs.”
The wounded were treated at the Vila Real Unit of the Tras os Montes y Alto Douro Hospital Center and the man was discharged shortly after treatment.
One of the injured women, 18, with head injuries, was also discharged on Tuesday, and another woman, 31, who was shot in the stomach, is still in the unit, police said.
Police from the Police Station, Traffic, Inspection and Criminal Investigation were mobilized for this incident. Also present at the scene were GNR troops and inspectors from the Judicial Police of Vila Real (PJ), who took over the investigation of the case.
The Vila Realenses Police also stated that it had already increased the “presence and ostensible visibility in both places” and emphasized that “the main goal is therefore to continue to prioritize the feeling of security and confidence of Vila Realenses, continuing the strategy visible interference. ., in an organized and systematic way, to combat crime in general and drug-trafficking crime in particular.”
The PSP also asked citizens who have information about this incident to contact the Vila Real police station and pass on this information, which may be “critical” to the investigation.
