Marcelo Rebelo de Souza asks everyone to make an effort to avoid and overcome health problems

The President of the Republic, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, urged this Friday to “make every effort” to avoid and overcome disruptions in the health response, deeming it unfair that people were affected by the pressure on the system over the summer.

“We know,” I said about this one and a half, two months ago, “that we have to work so that this August, July is already ending, with tourism pressure and a possible increase in demand in some centers more than in other countries, this will affect the systems healthcare,” Marcelo Rebelo de Souza told reporters when asked about the dismissal of the leaders of the emergency service team at the San Francisco Xavier Hospital.

According to the head of state, this situation occurs in different countries, and therefore it is necessary to “prevent and try to anticipate the reaction so that this does not happen in Portugal” and thereby not harm the Portuguese.
