Host Mariama Barbosa has died. He was 47 years old.

In a statement sent to the editor SIC highlights Mariama as “a wonderful woman and a leader with a unique talent in the art of communication. We are experiencing happy and unforgettable moments that will forever remain in the memory of everyone.”
The presenter has participated in SIC and SIC Caras projects such as Passadeira Vermelha and Scissors and Treasures.
Mariama Barbosa, 47, host of Tesouras e Tesouros, from SIC Guys, and a fashion expert, revealed earlier this year that he had stomach cancer. “A few weeks ago my world turned upside down when I found out that I have a malignant tumor of the stomach,” he wrote on his social networks. Although she admits that she will be upset in the next few months, Mariama is optimistic about the treatment. “I know that what comes next will not be easy, but I also know that, having fled the war in my country, [Guiné-Bissau] taught me to face challenges and move on. I will be firm, I will not lose hope and I will come out of this even stronger. More than ever, only (your) love matters,” he wrote at the time.
