The temperature in public buildings, commercial premises, bus and train stations and airports in Spain cannot be below 27 degrees in summer and above 19 degrees in winter in order to save energy, the Spanish government decided this Monday.
The measure, which will also affect cultural spaces, comes into force within a week and also provides that from 22:00 the lighting of shop windows, monuments and other buildings, as well as the light inside public buildings, will be turned off. when they are empty, according to Teresa Ribera, Minister of Energy in the Spanish government.
Rooms with air conditioning and/or heating systems that are subject to these measures must keep doors to the outside closed and install thermometers indicating the temperature inside.
