Arizona police in the United States of America have released a video showing the dramatic rescue of a woman trapped in her car during a flood that hit the city of Apache Junction.
The rescue operation took place on Thursday, and images captured by police body cameras show agents telling the driver to “hurry up” and “grab the rope” to be able to pull her out of the car as the water level continued to rise.
The woman informs the authorities that her dog is also stuck in the car and desperately asks them to rescue him as well.
In a statement cited by Reuters, the Apache Junction Police Department explained that it was able to rescue the trainer but could not find the dog: “We are very saddened that we were able to rescue the trainer but we were unable to find her. The latest information we have is that family and friends are still looking for their beloved pet.”
