Lifeguards and bathers were attacked on a river beach in Marco de Canaveses.

Two lifeguards and several bathers were attacked on Sunday afternoon by a group of people on the Bitetos river beach in Marco de Canaveses.

Disagreements occurred after the aggressors, who were near the river beach with two boats and jet skis, did not heed the warnings of the rescuers, as they could not be there, as they endangered the swimmers.

Some elements of the group did not heed the instructions and decided to get satisfaction from the swimmers. The situation got out of control and ended in “a real pitched battle involving several people.” CM with witnesses.

Representatives of the GNR and the Marine Police went to the scene, and three identifications were carried out.
