“I have never seen a coin”: Judith Souza refutes the opinion of the director of TVI and says that she was in Ukraine without money and insurance

Judith Souza reacted on Tuesday to her departure from TVI/CNN Portugal and refuted claims made by Queluz de Baixo station director Duarte Siopa on CMTV’s Manhã CM, where she ensured that the journalist traveled to Ukraine with health insurance and access to cash at the time. the time when he covered the war in this country.

The journalist begins by thanking Mario Ferreira and Nuno Santos, and then explains why she decided to leave TVI/CNN Portugal.

“Thirdly, I want to say that my employment contract ended ahead of schedule on my initiative. Why? Because I understood that I wanted to try to be happy and that for this I needed to leave the public space. It was a LIFE decision. ,I want to say that my contract – green receipts – was signed by the company (human resources and finance) in the first week of May. since my editorial duties were not taken over to the working group, I understood that I would not sign the above employment contract ” , says the journalist.

Later, Judith Souza explains that it was under such circumstances that she went to war in Ukraine and states that she did not know she had no health insurance. The reporter and host goes further and ensures that she had no money during the war, so the image reporter paid for her expenses.

“I knew that I did not have an employment contract, but I did not know that I did not have health insurance. The company, realizing the problem, issued an employment contract for a period of 30 days. It turns out that the mistake has already been made. It is absent in the country and that document never existed in the face of the law, because it was never signed by me. No money? Yes. I have never seen a coin or a Ukrainian banknote. To drink water you need coffee, have lunch , I asked a young image reporter to pay for my expenses. And just like that, two weeks went by,” he says on Instagram.

The journalist says that she had health problems and was “injected twice” in a hotel in Lvov.

At the end, he wishes good luck to his former bosses, Mario Ferreira and Nuno Santos: “At the same time, I am grateful and, above all, I am comfortable in this new but short cycle. ! Hooray Nuno!” he finishes.

Recall that Nuno Santos told CMTV that “Judit left for Lviv, Ukraine, apparently with insurance” and that the information that the journalist left for Ukraine without access to money “is not true.”
