The accident and collision in Odivelas and Alkanen killed two motorcyclists.

Two men, aged 26 and 52, died this Monday in accidents involving motorcycles they were driving in Odivelas and Alkanen.

The first accident occurred at dawn in Señor Rubado, in Odivelas, and resulted in the death of a 26-year-old man who lost control of his motorcycle and crashed. He was helped by teams of firefighters from Odivelas and was brought in a very serious condition in the medical car of the Santa Maria hospital in Lisbon. The motorcyclist will die at 2:15 am already in the intensive care unit of this metropolitan hospital. The PSP road station in Loures is investigating the cause of the fatal accident.

Another accident occurred around 13:00 in Filhos, the parish of Bugalos and the municipality of Alcanena, killing a 52-year-old man and injuring a woman. There was a collision of a motorcycle on which the victim followed, and a car. The death of the motorcyclist was confirmed on the spot by the INEM medical team, and the body was taken away for an autopsy. The causes of the accident are being investigated by GNR Santarém.
