The President of the Republic unveiled a new legal regime for foreigners in Portugal

The President of the Republic, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, this Thursday unveiled the legal regime for the entry, stay, exit and expulsion of foreigners from the national territory, hoping that “some formal inaccuracies can be eliminated in due course.”

According to a note published on the official website of the President of the Republic on the Internet, Marcelo Rebelo de Souza introduced a new legal regime, “emphasizing the implementation of the Mobility Agreement between the Member States of the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries. , signed in Luanda on 17 July 2021″.

However, the head of state hopes that “some issues highlighted in the written materials sent to the Assembly of the Republic, namely the National Data Protection Commission, as well as some formal inaccuracies, can be eliminated in the prescribed manner.”
