The “Liberal Initiative” is seeking parliamentary approval of the Social Media Statute and calls on PSD to join the request.

The Liberal Initiative calls for a parliamentary assessment of the SNA Statute, which it says raises “many doubts” and does not meet health needs, calling on the PSD to join the request, which needs 10 MPs.

“With a parliamentary assessment, we want to deeply understand what the true goals of this SNS charter are and integrate here the real reform that health care needs, as it is notorious in everyday life,” the leader explained to Lusa. Initiative (Illinois), Rodrigo Saraiva.

According to the liberal, this decree-law “leaves all people with great doubts”, citing the example of the President of the Republic or the President of the Ordem dos Médicos, considering that this is a statute that “does not condense, which is unclear and which does not indicate the need for a real reform of the national health systems.”

“We leave the call for the SDP to join us in this parliamentary endorsement because we would like to believe that the SDP can return to the reformist will it once had and which it has not shown in recent years,” he challenged. .

IL has a parliamentary group of eight deputies, but according to the rules of procedure of the Assembly of the Republic, “the application for the consideration of decree-laws for the purpose of termination or amendment must be signed by 10 deputies”, so two more signatures are required to carry out this intention.

“In health care, our vision of an alternative system that has a true national health system, as opposed to a monopoly on public health services, which leads to sad consequences, is well known. What we want is truly universal access, and we as the SDP will join us on this reformist path,” he challenged, saying that diligence with the SDP has already been done.

According to Rodrigo Saraiva’s analysis, “this SNS law demonstrates that this government’s statist drift continues.”

“Giving this parliamentary assessment, we want to understand whether, in addition to the statist approach, it is also absurd, because the functions are not clear,” he said.

The President of the Republic unveiled the SNA Statute on Monday, deeming it “would be incomprehensible” to drag it out, and urged the government to speed up its regulation and clarify ambiguities, in fear of losing a “unique opportunity.”

“The intention is positive,” he said, but the government’s letter “raises doubts” in three aspects “that need to be taken into account”: “Time, the idea of executive leadership and the combination of centralization in this Office and the promise of decentralized healthcare,” the note says. published today on the website of the Presidium of the Republic.

Based on these three points, the President of the Republic warned the socialist executive branch to “accelerate its regulation, clarify what remains to be clarified, find a framework and charter that gives the future to the executive leadership, and combine their powers with the aim of decentralization in health.”
