Zelensky caught on Pandora Docs with offshore accounts

The President of Ukraine will take part in Pandora Papers, an investigation by an International Consortium of Investigative Journalists that unearthed businesses and fortunes with hidden tracks in tax havens around the world. The scandal that erupted on October 3, 2021 involved at least 35 world leaders, and according to the German newspaper Die Welt, Volodymyr Zelensky’s name is mentioned in 2.9 terabytes of collected information, in total more than 11 million documents from various financial service providers.

According to Die Welt, by October 2021, a documentary titled “Offshore 95: Secret Deals of President Zelensky” was produced, which reveals the network of businesses and fortunes hidden in offshore areas discovered by Ukrainian investigative journalists, and which features accounts linked to with the president of Ukraine in tax havens.

The premiere of the documentary, scheduled in Kyiv, was canceled at the last moment, and those responsible for the “Little Opera”, where the work was supposed to be shown, called the journalists who were going to watch it and explained: “We are not going to show a film about the president.”

A German newspaper talks about a case of “corruption on an industrial scale”.
