The PCP advocates the need for “public control of water resources”.

The PCP defended this Monday the need for a strategy to ensure “public control of water resources”, criticizing “right-wing politics” that have commodified water management and placed water management “in the hands of foreign capital”.

In a statement to journalists at the national headquarters of the PKP, Vladimiro Vale, a member of the political commission of the party, stressed that “contrary to what is provided for by the Constitution, there has been a lack of responsibility on the part of the State in the management, planning and management of water resources.”

“Gradually, the services of public administration and state bodies for research and standardization were destroyed, (…) transferring the state functions of administration, management and planning to entities regulated by private law or private law and capital,” he stressed. .
