It is now up to the FDP politician “to enforce a follow-up solution and the necessary funds, especially with the finance minister,” said the member of the Bundestag of the “Bild am Sonntag”. The Ministry of Transport should give a “concrete timetable for a simple and cheap ticket model” by September 1st. The 9-euro ticket expires at the end of the month.
Wissing himself told the newspaper that an expansion and modernization pact should be drawn up and approved by the transport ministers’ conference in the fall. “This gives us the opportunity to make public transport much more convenient and attractive for all citizens.” The next conference of transport ministers is in mid-October.
