Ukraine war: Selenskyj warns of “brutal attacks” by Russia

On the Ukrainian Independence Day, President Zelenskyy warned of increased military strikes. Brutal attacks are possible, Zelenskyj said in a video speech on the eve of the anniversary. “Our armed forces, intelligence and security forces will do everything possible to protect people as much as possible, and we are sure that we will take action against any form of Russian terror,” said Zelenskyy. He urged Ukrainians to follow safety rules and comply with the curfew. Ukraine celebrates the end of Soviet rule 31 years ago on Wednesday. The United States also expects Russia to attack civilian and government infrastructure around Independence Day. The American Embassy in Kyiv has asked US citizens to leave Ukraine.
