Donald Trump: Fake Rothschild heiress landed on Mar-a-Lago

Posing as a Rothschild heiress, she gained entry to Donald Trump’s private residence Mar-a-Lago in Florida. The case shows how easy it appears to be to get onto the property.

How safe is Mar-a-Lago, former US President Donald Trump’s private residence? This question should also be of great interest to the security authorities in view of the secret files that have been stored there illegally for months. A report in collaboration with the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette now raises questions about security at Trump’s golf club in southern Florida. The case shows “how easy it is for someone with a false identity and a shady background to bypass security at Trump’s property.”

Fake heiress also met Donald Trump

According to this, a Ukrainian woman gained relatively easy access to the property in May 2021 – by allegedly posing as the Rothschild heiress “Anna de Rothschild”. Disguised as the heir to the banking family and with a Rolex on her arm, Inna Yashchyshyn is said to have opened doors and gates in Florida and thus gained access to the most exclusive circles. According to the article, in addition to Donald Trump, she also met Lindsey Graham, a leading Republican politician and Senator from South Carolina. Yashchyshyn stayed in Mar-a-Lago for several days, and it was only in March 2022 that Trump and his entourage discovered the true identity of the fake heiress.

The incident has also caught the interest of the FBI and Canadian investigators investigating Yashchyshyn — but not just because of the Mar-a-Lago incident. According to this, the Ukrainian-born was president of a charity founded by Russian businessman Valery Tarasenko. FBI and Canadian police are investigating the organization’s operations. In the meantime, the bond between Tarasenko and Yashchyshyn is said to have been severed – both sides are suing each other in Florida: Yashchyshyn accuses Tarasenko of taking hostages, while Tarasenko accuses the 33-year-old of fraud. However, it is still unclear why Yashchyshyn gained access to Mar-a-Lago and the exclusive circle around Donald Trump.

FBI investigating classified documents

How easily Inna Yashchyshyn gained access to the private residence of the former US President should also alarm the FBI. Earlier this month, security officials searched the property for more classified documents from Trump’s presidency. On Friday, the agency released an agent’s affidavit that led to the search warrant. It expresses the concern of investigators that Mar-a-Lago still contains documents of the highest security level that were neither allowed to be stored there nor protected accordingly – Donald Trump’s lawyers, however, insist that Trump declassify all the documents Has.

In February 2022, the National Archives contacted the FBI with concern: 14 of the 15 boxes that Trump sent back to the archives contained top-secret documents, photos and newspaper clippings. After an extensive investigation and interviewing additional witnesses, the FBI concluded that Trump withheld records at Mar-a-Lago and did not return them to the National Archives.
