It was a night that left France deeply traumatized. On November 13, 2015, ISIS terrorists attacked several locations in Paris at the same time. They killed 130 people and injured hundreds. What followed were two years of state of emergency and more assassinations. Today starts the court process that is supposed to deal with this night and its consequences – the “Century process” is observed all over France. RTL reporter Elke Büchter is on site and reports at “important today”what can be expected from this process, which takes place under the strictest safety precautions.

Anger and despair

Also: in the series “The second row” Michel Abdollahi speaks to young politicians before the federal election. In this episode, Jakob Blasel from the Greens is a guest. As the former federal spokesman for Fridays for Future, he would like to bring the movement’s goals to the Bundestag. “It causes a lot of anger and sometimes despair when we manage to get people ready to stand up for more climate protection – and then in the end nothing politically happens”says Blasel.
