Two firefighters from the Valadares Corporation were attacked last Friday in Gaia during a rescue operation. When an ambulance arrived at the scene, the operatives were immediately subjected to a brutal and unreasonable attack by the victim’s family.
The corporation was called for emergency assistance on Avenida da República, in the center of Gaia. The woman fell at the entrance of the building and an alarm was declared. The firefighters of Valadaris, despite the fact that the area was not in their area of operation, immediately called an ambulance team at the pre-hospital stage.
When they arrived, they were attacked in the manner shown in the images, and for no apparent reason. The PSP was called, and the authorities identified the elderly aggressor, an associate of the victim. The woman’s son fled, but was detained a few hours later when he went to the hospital to check on his mother’s condition.
After being beaten by the relatives of the victim, the operatives assisted the victim. The woman, after stabilizing her condition, was taken to a hospital in Gaya.
The Valadares Corporation will initiate criminal proceedings against the two aggressors, both in their 30s and 40s.
