Speaking to reporters in Brasília, Brazil’s capital, Marcelo Rebelo de Souza reminded that the United Kingdom is “Portuguese’s oldest ally” and “could be head of state only to be present on behalf of the Portuguese” at Isabella II’s funeral. ., who died today at the age of 96.
