The government approves energy saving measures.  See here Duarte Cordeiro announced a set of temporary measures that will be in effect for two years.

This Thursday, the Council of Ministers approved new energy saving measures. Environment and Climate Change Minister Duarte Cordeiro announced that among the measures is to reduce consumption when establishments are closed.

Duarte Cordeiro has announced the approval of an investment that will strengthen Portugal’s natural gas storage capacity. It also provides for exceptional and temporary measures that will be in effect for two years for the functioning of the gas market.

The Minister for the Environment and Climate Change also mentioned the obligation to create more reliable reserves depending on the number of clients.

The energy saving plan will be published later, Duarte Cordeiro stressed, since the measures were changed this Thursday.

Outgoing Health Minister Marta Temido approved this Thursday a plan to executively set up the National Health System. “Executive leadership aims to respond to an important role identified in the fight against the pandemic: the need for greater operational coordination of the response,” said Marta Temido.

Temido stated that the executive leadership of the SNA would assume “the legal character of a public institution” and stressed the need for “autonomy”.

Martha Temido also mentioned that she is leaving the healthcare portfolio at a “proper” time and said she leaves the government with “the full knowledge that there are times when we evaluate the personal context and conditions to continue on the path.”
