This will apply from Monday, announced the Foreign Ministry in Prague on Friday. Unvaccinated people from these countries must show a negative PCR test when entering the Czech Republic and go into quarantine. This can be ended on the fifth day at the earliest with a second negative PCR test result.
Anyone who has been fully vaccinated for at least 14 days only needs to fill out the online registration form. The Czech Republic relies on the EU’s digital Covid certificate, which also serves as an entry ticket for hotels, restaurants and swimming pools. There are exception rules for small cross-border traffic – i.e. short stays in the Czech Republic – and for cross-border commuters.
In the Czech Republic, the number of corona cases is slowly increasing again. According to current figures, there were 23 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days. More than 5.8 million of the approximately 11.7 million inhabitants of the country are fully vaccinated.
