The traffic light coalition has lost its majority in the ARD “Deutschlandtrend”.
In the purely theoretical case of a current federal election, the SPD, Greens and FDP together would only get 45 percent of the votes, one point less than all opposition parties combined, as the survey for the ARD “Morgenmagazin” on Friday showed. Minimal shifts in the individual parties were sufficient to change the balance of power in the Infratest dimap survey.
Union strongest force in poll
Compared to the survey two weeks ago, the Union increased by one percentage point to 28 percent and thus remains the strongest force. The Greens came in second with a minus of one point and 21 percent. The SPD remained unchanged at 17 percent. The AfD improved by one point to 14 percent. The FDP fell by one point to 7 percent. The left remained at 5 percent.
With this result, a black-green alliance would have a majority of 49 percent.
Election polls are generally subject to uncertainties. Among other things, declining party ties and increasingly short-term voting decisions make it difficult for the opinion research institutes to weight the data collected. In principle, surveys only reflect the opinion at the time of the survey and are not a forecast of the outcome of the election. The next federal election is not scheduled until 2025.
