In response to a request from the Ministry of Social Affairs, it was said that the paper was being finalized and that it would probably be available on Tuesday. The SP was outraged beforehand. Health spokesman Philip Kucher criticizes that there is no trace of a legal basis for the measures.
If the regulation is not finally presented, the next chaos will be programmed, writes Kucher in a broadcast. The SP politician once again criticizes the lack of involvement of federal states and the opposition in pandemic management: “That comes off if you don’t inform anyone in good time and don’t do any preparatory work.”
Basics known
At least the basics of what will come into force on Wednesday are known. The FFP2 mask is once again mandatory in areas that require a mask, such as public transport and supermarkets. In addition, unvaccinated people should also wear one of these higher quality protective masks in the rest of the trade. Everyone else can go to clothing stores or the like without a mask, except in Vienna, where mouth and nose protection is sufficient for vaccinated people. Antigen tests are only valid for 24 hours, as is already the case in the federal capital, and the 3G rule is already used for events of 25 people or more.
Open questions about level 2
It then becomes more interesting at level two, which applies when the 15 percent capacity utilization in the intensive care units is reached. Because from then on, 2G will be established in post-catering (and similar places) as well as at large events without assigned seats. This means that a test is no longer useful, you have to be vaccinated or have recovered within the last six months. Whether this only applies to customers or also to staff will only be able to be determined from the relevant ordinance.
Vienna recently pushed for levels two and three (which only allow PCR tests) to be brought forward. Whether you want to push ahead with more stringent measures on your own depends, among other things, on the formulation of the regulation.
