A majority of people in Germany think it is right if only those vaccinated against the coronavirus and those who have recovered from it (2G) are allowed to go to restaurants or attend events.
In an Insa survey commissioned by “Bild am Sonntag”, 57 percent said this. 33 percent think it is wrong if restaurants and events are only open to vaccinated and convalescent people. Of the proponents, 66 percent would like the 2G rules to be introduced as mandatory, 31 percent believe that the introduction should be left to each restaurateur or organizer.
From the point of view of Bundestag President Wolfgang Schäuble (CDU), those unwilling to vaccinate must accept restrictions. It must be clear to everyone that they have a responsibility not only to themselves, but also to others, said Schäuble to the Berlin “Tagesspiegel” (Sunday). “And in the end, anyone who does not get vaccinated because they are not convinced has to live with possible consequences and restrictions on their own freedom.”
