Rezo Targets Political Corruption – Third “Destruction” Video Online

Shortly before the third triell, Rezo published his third video for the election. His longest contribution is about lobbying, party donations and corruption affairs. One party comes off particularly badly.

“This video is about blatant corruption and abuse of power in politics,” says Youtuber Rezo right at the beginning. After uploading two videos with the titles and “” in the past few weeks, the previously announced final clip followed on Saturday:.

The man with the blue hair had become known to a wide audience shortly before the European elections in 2019 when he had attracted attention with the video “Destruction of the CDU”. With his new three-part series, the Nannen Prize winner will be involved in the run-up to the Bundestag elections on September 26th and will particularly appeal to young voters.

“This video is also basically about all Bundestag parties. But if almost all blatant cases occur in one party, then of course you have to talk almost only about this party for a neutral view – anything else would be unjournalistic,” said Rezo.

The first 40 minutes are about earning money in the mask business. He gives examples of how CDU politicians collected lavish agency commissions of up to 11 million euros – at the expense of taxpayers.

Then there are the ongoing issues of party donations and lack of transparency. In addition to the scandal surrounding Federal MP Philipp Amthor, he even goes back to the moth box, the Mövenpick affair and party donations to the FDP in 2009, which shortly afterwards politically enforced value-added tax for hotels.

The consultancy business in the Bundestag is booming

Companies also exert influence on politicians with consultancy contracts and employment, so that the MPs receive regular salary payments in addition to their diets. Sometimes it is about legal supervisory board activities, but also about six-digit amounts with which people’s representatives are on the “payroll of a coal company”.

For him, the real scandal is that if rules are violated, the state control institutions fail completely. In his words, the parties CDU, CSU and FDP were “by far the least keen on regulation and transparency”.

Olaf Scholz does not get off well in his final video either. Rezo highlights, for example, the emetic affair from Scholz’s time as Interior Senator in Hamburg, his memory gaps in the Cum Ex scandal with the Hamburg Warburg Bank and his role in the Wirecard affair. As in the other two videos, Rezo substantiates his allegations with a detailed list of sources.

Rezo’s latest post spreads over social media in no time at all. Part 3 has now been viewed more than a million times. User @SchmittJunior gave everyone the following advice in a tweet on Twitter on Saturday. “My suggestion: The stupid #Triell should be canceled tomorrow, instead you should send the new video from @rezomusik!”
