STORY: The Donetsk region police on Monday released a video showing police officers evacuating residents of the eastern Ukrainian city of Bakhmut. So far, however, the recordings could not be independently verified. According to the police, the living conditions there were terrible. Because there was neither electricity nor heating. The elderly and frail residents had been taken to safe places, police said. Evacuations are also said to have taken place in the south of the country, in Cherson. However, the Ukrainian presidential adviser Mykhailo Podoliak accused the Russian troops of forcing townspeople to leave their apartments and houses, which were then looted. Russia initially did not comment on the allegations.
