VP election winner in 426 parishes, the strongest party

The People’s Party was the strongest party in 426 of the 438 municipalities, and won votes in 263. The big loser FP, on the other hand, had to accept a minus in all 438 municipalities. The third-placed SP was the strongest party in only nine municipalities; the Greens, like the NEOS, did not make it to first place in any municipality.

VP: More than 60 percent in three municipalities

The VP, which was clearly in first place in the state elections with 37.61 percent (+1.24 percentage points), was able to win more than 60 percent of the votes in three municipalities: In Kaltenberg, the People’s Party recorded despite a minus of 5.09 percentage points her top result of 62.87 percent. Also in Vichtenstein (61.5 percent, +17.96), where the VP achieved its largest increase, the blacks cracked the 60 percent mark – also in Sankt Georgen near Obernberg am Inn (61.02 percent; +13, 28). The state VP reached more than 50 percent in forty-six municipalities, in 266 it came to over 40 percent. It incurred losses in 175 parishes. Black’s result in Sankt Pankraz was the weakest with 23.87 percent (-0.71 points). The governor’s party in Sankt Radegund had the biggest minus, where they lost 10.83 percentage points (result: 55.56 percent).

FP: Significant losses

The FP, which had to accept a minus of 10.59 percentage points nationwide (result: 19.77 percent), could not gain in a single municipality. The loss was more than ten percentage points in 226 municipalities, and more than 20 percentage points in four municipalities. The worst performed the FP in Obertraun with only 7.14 percent (-9.28). It made the greatest loss in Mayrhof, where the minus was 21.48 percentage points (result: 21.6 percent). The FP was the party with the largest number of votes in only three parishes. The Blues were most popular in their stronghold of Sankt Georgen am Fillmannsbach with 42.16 percent, although here too they had to accept a healthy minus of 14.47 percentage points.

Largest increase in SP votes in Windischgarsten

The SP, which stagnated in the election (+0.21 points to 18.58 percent), recorded a plus in 217 municipalities and a minus in 221. It came in first in only nine of the parishes. The red community with the highest number of votes was Obertraun with 46.19 percent (+5.77). The SP achieved the greatest increase in votes in Windischgarsten with 6.46 percentage points (to 25.66 percent). There was less than five percent for social democracy in nine municipalities. The worst performed the SP in Sankt Radegund with only 2.63 percent (plus 0.17 points). It drove the greatest loss in Enzenkirchen, where the minus was 7.96 percentage points (to 13.34 percent).

Green with plus in 355 municipalities

The Greens, who gained 1.99 percentage points nationwide and came to a result of 12.31 percent, recorded an increase in votes in 355 municipalities. However, they didn’t make it to first place anywhere. The municipality with the highest number of votes was Ottensheim with 27.04 percent (+4.18). The Greens achieved the greatest increase in votes in Attersee am Attersee with 8.58 percentage points, there they came to 21.01 percent. In five municipalities they reached more than 20 percent. It incurred losses in 82 parishes. The worst came off the knockout party in Sankt Georgen am Fillmannsbach with only 2.94 percent (-1.72 points). It drove the greatest loss in Aichkirchen, where the minus was 3.13 percentage points (to 4.86 percent).

MFG achieved more than 15 percent in three municipalities

The list of vaccine skeptics MFG (“Menschen-Freiheit-Grundrechte”), which scored 6.23 percent when it first appeared, was even able to get more than 15 percent of the votes in three communities. The greatest popularity was in Maria Neustift with 19.43 percent, followed by Laussa with 15.87 percent and Auberg with 15.33 percent. In twenty-nine parishes the list came to more than ten percent.

NEOS: mixed results

The NEOS, which moved into the state parliament for the first time with 4.24 percent, were able to grow in 309 municipalities. The community with the highest number of votes was Hirschbach im Mhlkreis with 10.99 percent – there the pink ones also recorded their biggest plus with 9.15 percentage points. The NEOS lost votes in 129 parishes. The party in Lichtenau im Mhlkreis suffered the worst result with only 0.57 percent (minus 2.05 points). It made the greatest loss in Windhaag near Perg: a minus of 5.02 percentage points brought a result of 3.84 percent.
