Four federal states want to abolish the obligation to isolate people infected with corona. This is only irritating at first glance and reveals a problem with Karl Lauterbach.
No, at first glance it is incomprehensible that some federal states are abolishing the obligation to isolate people infected with corona. After all, who would want people who might be contagious to just mingle with people like that?
Nevertheless, the decision is correct.
Because of course the health ministers of Bavaria, Baden-Württemberg, Hesse and Schleswig-Holstein do not want coughing corona patients to infect people at work or at school. Anyone who is sick, i.e. showing symptoms, should stay at home. After all, this recommendation applies to all easily transmitted diseases. But a blanket five-day isolation requirement for Covid-19 is no longer up to date.
