Up until Sunday, Upper Austria was the only federal state in which a list outside of the established parties had not yet entered the state parliament.
The federal chairman of MFG, the Viennese defense lawyer Michael Brunner, made it clear on Monday what his movement stands for. He rejects masks, tests and the corona vaccination. He tries to bypass all of these measures and does not go to bars or supermarkets. He is not a corona denier, of course the disease does exist, but: “If there are narrowable groups that need to be protected, then it cannot be argued that the entire rest of the population is being reprimanded with completely excessive measures.”
He is also not against vaccinations. Most of MFG are probably vaccinated against the standard diseases. But he was against “the current compulsory vaccination”. Brunner spoke of “enormous vaccine damage” and referred to figures from the database of the European Medicines Agency (EMA), which were repeatedly cited by vaccination opponents, according to which there were 900,000 vaccine damage cases and 14,000 deaths.
The EMA regularly denies such claims. The numbers from their database would be misinterpreted. The EMA publishes updates on the safety of vaccines approved in the EU. Scientists emphasize the high effectiveness and safety of the corona vaccines.
