She was a star on Twitter, the SPD had high hopes for her: 20-year-old Lilly Blaudszun is withdrawing from politics and has also deactivated her Twitter account.

SPD social media star Lilly Blaudszun, who helped shape the victorious state election campaign of Prime Minister Manuela Schwesig (SPD) in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and also advised the federal party on Internet issues, is withdrawing from politics.

“I decided to go a whole new way after these elections,” Blaudszun let her tens of thousands of followers on Twitter know after the election before she switched off her channel. There she had published a mixture of political messages and private chatter.

Lilly Blaudszun wants to concentrate on her studies

When asked by the German Press Agency, Blaudszun stated that he would continue to study law and also work in a Berlin law firm in the future. She remains connected to her party and will continue to volunteer at the local level. “As a student, it is a logical step for me to concentrate on my subject – that also includes work alongside my studies,” says the 20-year-old, who comes from Ludwigslust near Schwerin. First the “Schweriner Volkszeitung” reported on Wednesday.
