After explorations: FDP politicians accuse Union of indiscretion

FDP politicians, including party vice-president Johannes Vogel, accused the Union of deliberately passing on certain information to the media after the first exploratory talks.
The FDP party vice president Johannes Vogel accused the Union of breaching the agreed confidentiality after the talks about forming a government via Twitter. “Bild” had previously reported that several politicians had clearly spoken out in favor of a Jamaica coalition after the soundings on Sunday.
The FDP top, so the “Bild” writes, have made it clear internally that the Union must now win the Greens for the government alliance. The FDP had previously repeatedly affirmed that mistakes such as the failed negotiations on a Jamaica coalition in 2017 should be prevented this time.
Sandra Weeser, member of the Bundestag, member of the FDP federal executive committee, became even more vivid with her criticism and almost all of the points in the party colors used the word “silence”. Just to probe yellow and black on Sunday she wrote: “Bild-Zeitung.”:
There was also headwind from within the own party – from Schleswig-Holstein’s Minister of Education and Culture, Karin Prien:
On Tuesday, the Union and the Greens will meet for the first time for exploratory talks. The meeting marks the end of the first bilateral rounds of talks between the parties that are eligible for the formation of a government. The Greens take part with their ten-man negotiating team, the CDU is also represented by ten and the CSU by five negotiators.
