Former Trump press secretary has “Fear that he will run for office in 2024”

“I don’t think he’s suitable for the job”: Stephanie Grisham, former press spokeswoman for Donald Trump, warns of a renewed US presidential candidacy of her former boss.

Former White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham fears Donald Trump will reapply for the post of US president. “I’m afraid he’ll run for president in 2024″said Grisham in an interview on US television.

“I don’t think he’s suitable for the job.” Her book “I’ll Take Your Questions Now” (in German, for example: I am now taking your questions) will be published this Tuesday in the USA. “I want to educate the public in every possible way about White House conduct because it looks like he’s running for 2024″said Grisham.

Stephanie Grisham unpacks in book about Trump

Grisham was press spokesperson for then-first-lady Melania Trump from 2017 to 2019, before taking on the posts of press officer and communications director for the White House for around nine months. The fact that she did not conduct a single press conference during this time caused a sensation. The title of her book alludes to this.

She regrets working for Trump, Grisham admitted. He had instructed her not to give press conferences in the White House. It was her job to work in the background.

If Trump wins the election in 2024, he no longer has to worry about re-election and will be even more free in shaping his policy, Grisham pointed out. In the United States, a person can serve as president for two terms, whether consecutive or not. Grisham warned that Trump’s second term would primarily be about revenge, and so would his politics.

Excerpts from Grisham’s book had recently been published. In it, she described explosive and sometimes curious details from the White House. Donald Trump and his wife Melanie rejected the representations.
