It was a tour de force for the company from the German provinces. A year of construction, then the EBM-Pap plant in the USA was finished. For the opening, boss Klaus Geißdörfer traveled personally to Telford, Tennessee, to cut a blue ribbon in front of the factory gate. He also had the heads of his shareholder families with him.
The new factory hadn’t even started yet when they decided to build the next factory right away – again in the USA, this time preferably even faster and even bigger. The signal: Our future lies in the USA.
