Prior to that, they urged Chancellor Sebastian Kurz (ÖVP) to resign, as he had once again caused a crisis in the country. Meinl-Reisinger therefore sees the ÖVP on the train. It is clear that the Chancellor is no longer acceptable in the face of corruption investigations against him. That is a shame for Austria abroad too. Meinl-Reisinger was outraged that the ÖVP was continuing its attacks on the judiciary and trying to “destroy” the country’s institutions.
