The XXL winter break is over, after almost 70 days the ball is rolling again in the Bundesliga. The top game between RB Leipzig and Bayern Munich will kick off on Friday evening. After initial problems, the record champions are back in the lead, but have to do without captain Manuel Neuer, who will be out until the end of the season with a broken leg.
The longest mid-season break in history is then followed by three matchdays within ten days. Things can quickly slip (e.g. Union Berlin) or get stuck (e.g. Schalke 04).
Bundesliga is getting exciting again
In any case, the Bundesliga is more exciting than it has been for a long time – what does that mean for the individual clubs? Who gets off, who surprises, where is Niclas Füllkrug going?
