Artificial intelligence is now everywhere, whether in our cell phones, in traffic or in our refrigerators. The first digitally controlled S-Bahn was recently presented at the ITS World Congress in Hamburg. A driver is needed in it – but only to monitor the self-driving system. This raises the legitimate question: will robots replace us at some point? Or is this total science fiction nonsense? Kenza Ait Si Abbou is an engineer and manager for artificial intelligence and robotics. She says, “We should be afraid of people, not technology.” Because it is still people who tell artificial intelligences what to do and what not to do. And that will not change for the time being in the next few years.

Facebook threatens charitable project
In the UK, a young man named Louis Barclay has developed a program to clear the Facebook news feed. Thousands of users were enthusiastic about his invention and wrote him thank you messages because the feed would finally no longer overwhelm them. However, Facebook didn’t like that at all. The group, which has recently been subject to frequent criticism, set up a law firm and informed Barclay that all of its Facebook and Instagram accounts would be deactivated and that he would never be allowed to access the group’s websites, apps, networks and services again. The project “Unfollow Everything” came to an abrupt end.
